Alerts
Alerts notify you when something happens on an instrument: price reaches a
level, an indicator condition is met on a timeframe, or one of your OpenScript
scripts calls alert(). All three are evaluated on FutPrint's servers, so they
fire whether or not the terminal is open, and are delivered to every device
you are signed in on. You can create them from the Alerts panel, from an
indicator's settings, or directly on a chart, and manage them all in one list.
The alert list
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Symbol | The instrument the alert watches. |
| Type | Price, Indicator or Script. |
| Price | The trigger level of a price alert; the timeframe of an indicator or script alert. |
| Condition | The rule, or the alert's name: Price crossing up 25,000, 15m RSI (14, close) crossing up 70, 5m RSI alert Β· RSI high. A β marks an alert the server cannot evaluate; hover for the reason. |
| Last message | The text of the most recent firing (hidden by default). |
| Status | A switch for an active alert β turn it off to pause the alert. Alerts that have fired show Triggered; alerts past their expiration show Expired. Both can be re-enabled. |
Each row has actions on the right:
- Disable Alert / Re-enable Alert β pause an active alert, or re-arm one that has triggered.
- Edit Alert β change its price, condition or notifications.
- Delete Alert β remove it.
The toolbar has Create Alert, a count of your alerts, Refresh Alerts and Column visibility.
Creating or editing an alert
Open it with Create Alert in the Alerts panel, Create Alert⦠in the chart's right-click menu, or Create alert in an indicator's settings. From a chart, the symbol and timeframe are filled in and the chart's studies are listed under On this chart.
| Row | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create alert on | The instrument. Search for one, or keep the chart's. |
| Condition | What to watch and when it counts, built left to right: the source (Price, Volume, or a study on this chart, including applied scripts), the series of that source (for instance MACD's signal line, or the price field), the comparison (Crossing, Crossing up, Crossing down and, under More, Greater than, Less than, Entering / Exiting / Inside / Outside channel, Moving up / down by an amount or a percent within a number of bars), and what it is compared with: a value, a price field, another series of the same indicator, or another study on the chart. Add condition combines up to five conditions; all must hold on the same bar. |
| Interval | The bars the rule is judged on, and the session they are anchored to (regular 09:15β15:30 or extended). A 15-minute alert sees the same bars as a 15-minute chart. The server has no seconds bars: an alert opened from a 15s or 30s chart is evaluated on 5m bars, and the dialog says so. |
| Trigger | Only once fires the first time and stops. Once per bar checks as ticks arrive, at most once per bar. Once per bar close waits for the bar to complete. Once per minute checks as ticks arrive, at most once a minute. |
| Expiration | When the alert retires on its own: never, in a day, a week, a month, or a date you pick. Expired alerts stay in the list and can be re-enabled. |
| Alert name | Shown in the list; the condition's own wording when left empty. |
| Message | The notification text. Leave it empty for the default, or write your own with placeholders such as {{symbol}}, {{timeframe}}, {{close}}, {{value}}, {{condition}} and {{time}}. |
| Notifications | Where it is delivered: In-App, Push, Email, Webhook, a Sound, and a Telegram chat ID. |

Price alerts
Price Β· Crossing up / Crossing down / Greater than / Less than Β· a value is a price level. It is matched on every tick, drawn as a line on the chart, and its trigger is Only once or Every time. Every other price condition, a channel, a move, or price compared with an indicator, is judged on bars of the chosen interval like an indicator alert.
Indicator alerts
The indicators on offer are those the server computes: moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, ATR, ADX, Stochastic, Stochastic RSI, CCI, MFI, Williams %R, ROC, OBV, Awesome Oscillator, TRIX, Force Index, Parabolic SAR, Ichimoku and VWAP. Add the study to the chart with the settings you want; the alert carries those settings, and the dialog lists only what is on the chart, as TradingView does. Opened from the Alerts panel without a chart, the dialog offers Price and Volume only. Profiles, footprint, options and order-flow studies cannot be alerted on.
Script alerts
Apply a saved library script to the chart, choose it under On this chart,
then which alert() to watch, or Any alert() function call for all of them. The server runs the saved copy with the same OpenScript engine as the
chart, once per completed bar, so a script that alerts on the chart alerts on
the server at the same bar. Save the script in the Script Editor first; edits
apply as soon as they are saved. Scripts that read flow.* cannot run on the
server, and a script with no alert() cannot be chosen.
An alert the server cannot evaluate, for instance because its script was deleted or no longer compiles, stays in the list with a β and the reason in its row. Fix the script or edit the alert, and it resumes on its own.
Alerts on the chart
A price alert for the chart's symbol is drawn as a dashed ALERT line at its price, with the level shown in a tag. The bell on the tag opens the alert, and the Γ removes it. You can drag the line to move the alert to a new price.
Dragging an alert line changes the alert's price straight away. If you only meant to pan the chart, check the alert's level afterwards.
A triggered alert stays in the list until you re-enable or delete it, so the list doubles as a record of the levels that were hit.
